Ratified by Anhui provincial government and China's stock committee, Hefei Fengle Seed Co.,Ltd has become the first public seed enterprise, sponsored by Hefei Seed Company only. The company has registered capital 108 million yuan (RMB), current net assets over 400 million yuan, can be rated as the leading enterprise in China's seed sector and in the agriculture of Anhui province, the model for Seed Engineering of national Agricultural Ministry.

The public company, having 260 staff members, takes modern management system of general meeting, Board of directors, supervisory committee and legal person general manager. Under the company, there are six functional departments and eight divisions which focus on research, production, process and marketing of crop seeds and agriculture chemicals, import & export of seeds and agricultural products. Its seed production bases of 6,000 hectares are distributed in main agricultural environments of China, and a marketing network has well been established across the country with annual seed marketing 4,000 tons. The major products-hybrids of melon & watermelon, the famous brand product exempt from quality inspection in Anhui province, sells 400 tons across the country each year, takes one third of the domestic market and export abroad. At the same time, it has also made great progress in agricultural chemicals and international business, established business relationship with cooperation partners in southeast Asia, America, Australia, etc., made foreign exchange 1.5 million USD annually. In June, Hefei Agri-science Research Institute, well-known in melon & watermelon variety improvement, was merged into the public company, has made close cooperation possible between research and marketing. It has become a modern integrative seed enterprise of transtrade and transregional, combining research manufacture and trade.
